Post subject: | Rooftop Helipad |
I haven't quite finished this yet, but wanted to show what I had been working on. It's a small rooftop helipad, suitable for urban helicopters (news crew, passenger, executive, etc.) Here are a couple of photos: http://wwgallery.pcinfoman.com/displayi ... ?pos=-4482 http://wwgallery.pcinfoman.com/displayi ... ?pos=-4481 It's done as 1" grid and gridless. I plan to add railings to my own model, but they wouldn't be included in the kitbash. A question for Aleph13... would these photos be okay to submit with the kitbash when I do? I'm not sure of rules concerning other products in the photos, like the minis and helicopter... Arabin |

Thanks for the comments ![]() I thought about trying to slope the roof of the fire exit, and might take a stab at it later tonight. No all roof exits are sloped though, so I have included a drainpipe on this one for now. This will easily fit on any full tile rooftop building, and would look great on the large open top roof of Shellendrak Manor ![]() Count Zero, I need to tweak it a bit more before submitting, then join the queue for release. Only Aleph would be able to give an indication how backed up the queue is. When do you need it by? I had feedback from CCotD that it would also be cool to have a dirty helipad. I had originally decided to keep it clean as it seemed like landing a helicopter on a dirty, slipperty pad would be a bit dangerous... but what do you think? The kitbash already stands at four pages (the max) with 1" and gridless options... adding a dirty version in both 1" and gridless would put it way over the limit... maybe a second release later? Keep the feedback coming please ![]() Arabin |

I've been trying to do a sloped roof on the rooftop exit, and I have figured out how to do it easily enough, but since I'm limited on page count, which of the following options would be most useful? I already have the current design done, which is a simple 2x2x1 box. For my use, I was thinking of the half slope, since it only takes up two of the 1inch squares... and minis still need room on the roof. But the full slope seems to make more sense from a design perspective. What do you think? I can always do both, but I'd rather only include one sloped option. Arabin |

architecturally speaking the square box and the full slope are the way to go. course we are talking game props, so which ever makes the most sense to you. ![]() |

The submission is in. Hopefully it'll be posted soon... though perhaps Aleph can give an estimate? Here is the final product: *Note: Gridless versions of the helipads are not pictured, but are included Arabin |
