A little update: I worked on the hull over the weekend, here are a few snippets to (hopefully) keep people interested: ________________________ That thing must have been UGE! ________________________ They must be too busy terrorizing the shipping lanes to scrub the hull! ________________________ If that was much lower she would sink! ________________________ It's moving along, a bit slowly at times, but it will get done!

Here is a little bit of the bow that I worked on last night: The art is from Gustave Doré's Thieves. I still have to add textures and such, but I thought I would toss this out there and see what folks think. Also, I'm hemming and hawing over whether to do a Cthulhu themed ship (symbols and such - on the bow there is a Necronomicon symbol) or just go with plain old pentagrams and such; or a set of both! |

Some more tinkering (in progress): That is a shot of the stern castle. In it you can see some stained glass work, with some intact and some broken. And the little skull will be replacing some of the decor throughout the ship. Again, it's in the works, so a little more grunge, sheen and so on will be added before all is done

Hi Snizitch, among your many bash ideas I hope this project is not all abandoned ... I really look forward to this mega-bash and will wait before building the Maiden until I see this published ... well I keep my fingers crossed

:Thumbs up: Some of that texture work looks really groovy. Are you planning on a more faded, weathered, rotten look... or are you going to go full on rich saturated color and an unearthly, ghostly glow? ~Floyd |

This seems to be rapidly turning into HellWorks IV: The Maiden From Hell... Anyways, The Maiden never really caught my imagimation enough to actually build, but once this thing is done, I will probably have to take the plunge and actually print and cut and glue and photo and... |
