Let's see. First of all, I know the movie you're referring to, so I have some idea of what you are after. Your balcony-laden tavern should be quite easy, actually. Start with the ground floor, and design it to have a couple of rooms off to either side of the big, central tavern (storeroom, kitchen, etc.). The example here is four floor tiles (14"x14"), but you can design it however you like. Be sure to include a set of stairs. Then design your second story, with side rooms and an extra strip of floor to represent the balcony. I made mine 5x14, and it sits over the right-hand side of the building, matching up with the end of the stairs and overlapping the bar. if you're mounting your upper floor on foamcore as per the instructions, you should be able to simply set it on top of the lower floor (the walls and tall props like the cask cabinets should support it just fine). As for your other items... Combining VillageWorks (some small huts, but the tents are "nicer") and SeaWorks: Skull Cove (round, native-looking huts) should provide a good pirate encampment. If you don't like the colors of CaveWorks, might I recommend HellWorks? As odd as it might sound, the set is actually quite useful for a grey cave system...just use the ashen ground tiles and the "plain grey" walls to build your plateaus...your caves thus become the space between the plateaus. The huts from Skull Cove work great for your native village, and there's a nice altar/idol and some palm trees there as well. And of course, Skull Cove is a must for your beachfront property. |
