I'm not a mac user so I can't say for sure... But isn't GIMP supposed to work under Mac OS X. Oh and it's free. Link is here: OR mac specific here |

Also: - a sort of front-end for GIMP that makes it work and feel more like photoshop (lowers the learning curve for some) - paint.net, another good freebie worth your time investigating. - maker of CorelDraw (photopaint is their competitive equivalent to photoshop and a very good program) and paint shop pro. See if either is in your price range. |

Hi Thorn You might want to give a try. It's a recently released Mac only image editor thats cost $59US. It's quite nice. You can also try , they keep the gimp updated for Mac which gimpshop doesn't. Hope thats helped you out. Good luck. |

It's a bit of a pain to go through X11 to run some programs, but worth it for such a full-featured image editor. |
