The biggest reason that I bought kits from WorldWorksGames is so that I could increase my Necromunda terrain w/o paying an arm & a leg to GW or ebay. I've got several projects that I'm working on:

1. GorkaMorka Digga/Necromunda Ash Wastes Trukk
2. Necromunda Toll Bridge from the scenario of the same name.
3. Necromunda paintball field (personal scenario, rules will hopefully make it into a future Firebase, but I have yet to write the article, let alone have it approved)
4. Necromunda Bar from the scenario of the same name.
5. 3D Spacehulk (long term project, not sure when it’ll get going)

I'm using mostly the Platform Command kits, but I also have Mars Station & I'll probably pick up the First Light and other spaceship ones for the Spacehulk terrain.

So here's what I've done so far with the paper stuff:

I'm almost done with the Trakk, so I'll try to get pictures of that up soon.

Just a suggestion...you might want to take a look at the Outpost 105 Megabash as a suppliment to the three Platform Command sets.

Also, if you ever want to do anything with a Tyranid feel to it, Shadowcore Prime is well worth another look.

I also plan to put a hard point under the cab so that I can use it as a Chimera for my Van Saar Iron Fist unit for my Necromunda Penal Legion IG army. in those pics are my Goliath that I'm using as Diggas. I didn't want just another Ork Trukk manned by hummies, I thought this was something that one might find in the mines below the pyramids.

Trakk is done! Turned out better than I expected. I might drop the raised mount and just put the hardpoint on directly roof. Here it is, what do you all think:




Not sure what I'm going to do next. I don't have foamcore at home (I do have a newborn, she's a week old & very cute), so the toll bridge is out right now, but will look something like this:

It's a chest-burster; we're doing a theme for kicks. It's the WWG equivelant of "whacky tacky tie friday", only with less lameness and more nightmare fuel!

WOW! An actual on topic post! I was beginning to wonder if that would happen again!

Thanks the Trukk is the one I'm most proud of. The others are very simple conversions that only deviate from the actual model in very minor ways or are exactly the same as the models. I'm hoping to get started on the Toll Bridge today now that I've got some time since getting my daughter home (she was born on the 6th). I have gotten really excited about the bar as well. I'll have to get going on that soon too.

Also on-topic; Good trukks! For the longbed are those tracks straight out of PC:Red Sector or did you alter them at all? Thanks.

Thanks! The treads are straight out of the Mecha section of Red Sector. I based the bed (which is 5" x 3") of the size of the treads. I did use a couple of the spacers from the vehicle models from PC: Battleground to get them well spaced. One of them contains the pebbles that I'm using as balast.

On the topic of Trukks, I had mentioned on a 40K forum that I was thinking about taking the official model and expanding the bed to actually FIT a 10 Ork squad and got laughed at! They thought it was silly to try and make a vehicle that would actually fit them all. May just scrap the whole plan and give your method a try.

I haven't actually tried to fit 10 figs back there yet & I don't play Orks. I'm using Goliaths as Diggas. However there is 15 square inches back there, so it seems like it could hold 10 of almost any figs.

I'd be happy if they were just piled in! Don't have to be sitting nicely. That is certianly more than enough space. They sit on 25mm bases and generally don't protrude to any great measure. Thanks for the pics, though. Give me lots of ideas.

In the original ork truk rules that's what you were encouraged to do-the trukk could carry as many models as you could physically pile on it. If they fell off while moving the trukk then they made an armor save or broke their neck. It was pretty easy to pile plastic orks on with all their spikes and crazy limbs.

But I can't imagine it would be all that kind to any paint jobs...

Anyway an actual, if kinda lame, update. I suffered a bit of a set back as my original idea was just getting too hard. I had wanted to do a cylinder, but couldn't really figure out how to get it on a base and make it look good & be stable. Plus I can't seem to cut a straight line...

So with a first attempt using the intersection as it is intended:

was too short. It looked taller in the instructions.
So with a small bash:

I got a 6" tower. Bummer that GW bulkheads aren't 3" a piece, but I'll make it work.

I hope to have something more soon as I have found some time to work on it.

Easiest way might be to have ramps going up or down to the official GW terrain. I few strips of card placed just over 1 inch apart can provide enough of a lip that figures don't go sliding down - just look out for models that are a trifle top heavy. The round WH40K bases will fit right between the strips.
