I've been on the fence on using paperterrain as my primary source for a while, continually falling back to Hirst Arts molds, but TerrainLinx has pushed me over the edge, so I am ordering a Silhouette as well. However, I'd like to do a little kitbashing, and already have to converted some Gothic Realms to TLX, but I'd like to maintain the GSD compatibility, so, does anyone have a good idea of how to do so. Currently my graphic method is having a stripped template in open in MS Publisher, then I can simply insert the new graphics into the template to make what I need as I need it, but it is not cutter compatible as far as I know. Any ideas of how to do this to maintain that aspect. Thanks, Lotus |

If you're making new shaped pieces the only thing I could suggest is making GSD files to go with them. If you're making your templates out of the floor tiles/wall sheets/post sheets provided then as long as you stay within the lines (of the tile) you should be able to use the associated GSD files to cut... Maybe I'm not understanding your process (and subsequently your concern) |

I'm using the current files essentially as templates. So no new sizes. Maybe I am missing an obvious answer, but when I copy and paste from the PDF I tend to lose the scaling, and have to wing it back in, usually not too hard. But after that I have no way to be certain I have pasted back into the exact same location as it had originally. As far as I know I have no way to rip the whole page, if I could do it like that, it'd be easier. |

What I've done to TLinx older sets is to use an existing file as a source, and remove out the texture sections to create templates to add in new textures, then make this a layer. Then you can put the incoming text as a layer _under_ the template, and that will ensure that you're exactly matched up with the size (and location) as the rest of TLinx. This worked great for posts, and with a little messing, for walls. (Posts are a one step process, walls a two step, since you need the wall proper, and the little wings on the top edges.) I'm assuming floors will be similar. Note: In some cases, like the set logo, I actually put the new version on top, rather than underlay it, but that's minor.
