No pics ATM. I'm currently working on a Kit Bash for a Pulse Rokkit for 40k. Its big, standing over a foot tall. My skills in actually kitbashing are VERY VERY limited, especially when it comes to using photoshop style tools. Instead, all of my kitbashing is done using Power point. 95% of this build is a variaton of the gun barrel from the Red Sector Mech weapons. The Rocket body is a large version of this shape, that is then stretched vertically slightly to be less "squat." I then used the red texture from Chassi section. The bottom of the rocket has 3 gun barrels blown up a bit, with most of the middle cropped out. The 3 outside rocket boosters are the same design, at 30% size. With the bottom portion covered by the same texture used for the bottom of the rocket. Finally the nose cone is the semi-conical peice from the power generator blown up to have the same base size as the rocket. What I'm lacking is some decent fins for the rocket. Also, my 3 boosters end in a flat white top, I'm looking for something to cap those. Any ideas would be much appreciated. However, If I can't put manipulate it in Power Point, I'm lost. |

The set as it has some good fins, plus a bunch of props and textures that you might find useful. The color is likely to be too white, but that could be fixed with a felt or thinned paint wash. Check out and as they both have textures (esp Mars Station) and props (esp Celestus Pravatus) that could be great for what you're doing. Regarding capping the Boosters, have you thought about simply cutting a a piece of the texture you're using to shape and then bending it into a cylinder. |
