Eng A includes my workshop, so not there (my background includes main and auxillary engineering spaces  ). Bridge extra starboard is the computer installation. Aft four spaces are fuel, forward of those are the fuel scoops for the purifiers. Thet pretty much narrows the possibilities . Only two spots left really, one hidden, one growing. I thought they added a nice touch.

Down to only the lounge and airlocks to assemble now. And wow - I just laid down all the pieces for the middle deck for dryfitting. It is LONG - longer even than the cargo bay. I knew that from the schematics, but its different (and impressive) seeing it laying out on the table. Looking at it, I really think I nailed a Firefly-ish look for the engines. But then, I _am_ a little biased. I should have some time tonight, I'll try to snap and post a few pics of the various sections (especially the engine room) before mounting it on foamcore. Al .... most .... there .... |

Okay, finally. Took some shots last night, and here they are: http://wwgallery.pcinfoman.com/thumbnails.php?album=124 The sections are assembled in the right order, but they're not glued together yet or glued to the foamcore base (not enough time while watching baseball). I also have yet to do the exterior panels, but those are the easy parts. There are also a LOT of furnishings to do yet. 
Take a look at the engine room shots, especially this one. I really like how the engine room came out. (Yes, there are two turbines instead of the one on a Firefly - the ship is bigger!) |

Awesome Robby  ! Looks like you and I had similiar ideas about the engine room of our builds, nice as the FL engines are, they just don't seem big eneogh to me, I was going to turn to Mels stuff for that too. I can't wait to see it all put together, though the october deadline is drawing near, think you'll make it?

And with that last exterior panel, I am DONE. Okay, I have to get pics up, and there is still quite a bit of furnishings left (and I'm really liking some of the new props in Mars Station for the ship), and at some point I'll have to do the shuttles, but the structure, hull and exterior of the ship is DONE! And before the deadline, even. Woot! |

I demand an official extension of the October Challange to be the November Challange!! New Mars Station things that HAVE to be included! New Ebbles C4 turret! Must have time... 
And Congrats, Robby, into exterior now on mine and basing...sigh, so slow (only started it as the August Challenge  )
