I like it alot, Blind jack! You might be able to eliminate most of the central walls in the barracks, without having warping occur. If you leave about 1" sticking out on each side, and cut away the middle 5", you'd have a nice, wide open area in the middle. The bunks can go against the walls, and the 1" "support tab" that remains will be next to them. It's hard to explain... does it make sense? Or would a basic diagram help? |

Procrastination strikes again! I should be packing for my trip to Belgium for the holidays. Instead, what do I do?.... Full internal wall... Aleph13's 1" partial wall: Balsa wood: CurtainArch.pdf: |

very very very good ideas guy ![]() tnx a lot for your kindness for doing such a very clear diagram. i'll take in great consideration your advice. In first instance I wanted to put nothing instead of walls, but you have made me think that such a structure is not realistic. It was possible only because was made of paper, but I want a realistic castle. So, more probably I'll use curtain arc, but reinforcing them with foamcore between the faces and make it removable. TNX AGAIN, if somebody have another suggestion... |
