I don't have pictures, but if you have time to do it from scratch, I have a suggestion. The First Light layouts are decidedly linear, reducing the play experience to a dungeon crawl. "Next room, anything in there? No? Next room." Hallways that link up in a loop will mean that decidedly non-linear events could occur. "Next room... You hear noise in front of you, and behind you, what do you do. Bbbbut we were just back there..." |

I build my setup linear, a central corridor altough I see the same problem with a linear build. But the problem with a nonlinear build (Say, two central corridor and a row of 3x5 rooms between the corridors and rooms to the outside of the ship) would be that it need much more place then I would like for my space freighter. The 3 inch wide corridors are nice but need really much space. |

I am actually in the porcess of making a Ship for the Star Wars game we started last night. I have been messing with either a Ghtroc 720, or a Pulsar Skate Verison of the Baudo. So at this point More design ideas now than anything else. But i did recently find all of the Photos of the Barloz I made for the Last Star Wars Game i ran, so i will upload them to Photobucket tonight and put a linky in here for you. |

Ah, I forgot the void ate the post i wrote responding last night as i nipped off to game. The Angels come from a Mel/Ebbels Card Stock model, I think Derelict, (the older Chunky version). It had some diag walls that worked very nicely to get across the impression of the angles on this ship . The Chunkyness, and the Pods added to the sense of Machine parts/equipment that actually makes the ship function... That is what i was shoting for, not perfect, but i liked it, and the Players did as well. If you are interested the Nestt (there are some versions on that above page) is the one i am working on now (with some decent mods of their deckplans ( ie the Octogon part is the Storage and not the Crew i swaped out those parts), stats will have to be redone for current game system, but that is one of the two i am working on, i got about 75% of the pages printed off last night so i might be able to start building tonight. |

I think I've got some of my First Light pics on a hard drive somewhere, I'll see about digging them out and getting them put up somewhere over the next week. I have a smaller one (that is basically a stock FL build with an extra room to elongate it) and a larger, 3 deck ship that was loosely inspired by Serenity (from the show Firefly). |
