The new BBC epic uses the for its outdoor location filming of Camelot. I wondered if anyone would take a stab at sketching a layout using the CastleWorks Ultimate set? |

LEM, What age is this hitting for? Is it children, young adults or Dr Who - Family? Thanks for pointing this out, Oh and I think LD should try this with SketchUp. Lord Abaddon of Wormwood |

I don't know how far you'd get without massive kitbashing. I'll probably play with it a little later tonight, but I don't think I'll actually try building it. Real structures rarely work well as layouts. |

I don't know if it would be all that useful but here is something. I based it on this map: http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Image ... ure_01.png Since this castles doesn't have any battlements it isn't necessary for the towers doors to align with the walls. Doing them this way makes them more prominent. I'm using the curved walls to make the larger towers. But with the curved walls and the side with the angled wall, there are any number of custom pieces that will be needed where them join. The green rooms are also custom made. They are 4" parrallel from the angled wall. |

"Camelot!" "Camelot?" "Camelot!" "It's only a model." "Shhhh." Sorry, couldn't resist. |

I'd be interested to see pics if anyone does give this a go. But I still have a lot of doubt it'll work well. If the show restricts itself to a few rooms, something like what I posted might work. As long as they weren't picky about having the rooms in the right place. But unless a new massive tower is kitbashed, it would be harder to go larger than what I posted and have even a crude approximation of the actual castle. |

It is an all right show. I enjoy watching it with my kids. They certainly have taken large liberties with the myth. However if your not a purist then it is enjoyable. |
