I'd like to get my 12 year old into D&D as he's not even heard of it before(!) For reasons I won't go into he no longer lives with me but I do see him every week. I'd like a simple, easily portable tileset and was looking at the old DungeonLinx.

Would you guys recommend it for a simple 2D game of D&D?

Edit: Just a note to say that I don't have any transport so it will be transported on foot.

I think it should work nicely for you, not having built any of it yet. I would really like to see WWG expand this line. Good luck getting your 12 year old hooked on RPGs! I was certainly drawn in quickly

And now I would like to see DungeonLinx in the Planner.

DungeonLinx is a brilliant for dungeoneering - my son has got heaps of use out of his set.
Plus, it;s quick to build and because it's all tiles and flat add-ons (excluding the Dragon!) it packs flat for easy storage/transport.

If you do get DungeonLinx, make sure you pick up the add-on , as well. By adding a few key tiles they create the most awesome final room (reusable in a number of different combinations). (I sprung this room on my adult gaming group at the climactic end of a major adventure and their jaws hit the floor when they saw it.)
