Tomorrow is my birthday. Why is this important? Well, because it presents me with a conundrum and brought up a suggestion for the WWG store.

First, the suggestion. My wife was going to get me a gift certificate to the WWG, but the process for doing so was more hassle than she was willing to deal with. She's not a gamer or modeller, so there was no real incentive for her to sign up as member to the WWG store. All she really wanted was a quick way to buy the gift certificate and move along. I know that a couple of the mail-order places I buy bike parts from have a "quick checkout" option, so it shouldn't be too difficult to implement. She ended up just telling me to go get something from WWG, but she very well could have moved along to another gift idea and forgot about WWG (that is the part that Denny probably cares about).

Now the conundrum, which set do I pick up?
1) Bits of Mayhem - useful for fleshing out my sprawling urban set
2) Harbormaster - I have no interest in fantasy stuff, but this would be very useful for making the house for TwoHourWargames Dog Soldiers minigame or for making an abandoned haunted house for Mayhem
3) Urban Night Command All Along the Watch Tower thing-a-ma-jig - useful on it's own, but also usable as a chemical plant

Any thoughts?

Given the list that you have provided, I would go with the Bits o' Mayhem. Since you already have the other two (I am assuming such from your statement about completing the set) having all the little bits and piece like the flaming cars, barrels, et al of the BOM set you might find greater usage out of that set.

The harbourmaster is a greate little display piece (for me that is) and could work as a mansion in a modern setting (or as you say a haunted house) but it's usage is fairly limited in your description.

The new set looks great and it looks as if you will get a great deal of flexibility out of it, but since it has just been released, there is a slight risk of it needing a patch so I would wait a little while to make sure all the kinks are discovered from it.

Of course you could always just but all three set now, couldn't you

First off, thank your wife for me! (And thank you for your support ). Being a big fan of 'Dog Soldiers' the movie I would lean towards Himmelveil Harbormaster. What an intensely fun game that would be! If you go that way please take pictures from your gaming session!

I loved Dog Soldiers and agree that Harbormaster would work well for that.

The best advice I can give is to say what I've actually done with each of those sets since buying them.

Bits of Mayhem - I have printed the entire PDF, and built about half of it. The flats are extremely useful and really make the table. The dumpster, phone booth and soda/candy machines are superb props. Very useful set.

Harbormaster - I'm not into fantasy, but I was thinking of using this as a modern location... but to be honest, although I bought this on day of release, I've not actually printed any of it yet!?! I'll get around to it.

Platform Command - I have printed as much as I can of this, but need to get more cardstock now. Not only are there lots of options to begin with in this set, but I'm full of ideas for kitbashes as well. This is probably the most versatile set so far, and I plan to surprise my game group soon with an industrial layout to make a change from streets.

I hope that is some help. They are all great sets, but I guess it comes down to which games you are likely to play the most.
