ive got an upcoming heroclix game session on thursday and as of right now i have streets of mayhem and bits of mayhem to work with....well i just bought bits of mayhem a couple days ago, and so far all i have to show for it is some flame thingys, and a bus with no wheels (kinda like a horse with no name...ha!!!...er....well i thought it was funny anyway)

so yeah anyway, now that im getting all this freakin awesome 3D terrain built, i want to fully utilize my terrain for my heroclix game sessions.

so to the point...does anyone have any good scenarios that work really well with the mayhem maps? ive googled heroclix scenarios and i found some cool ones, but i was wondering if there were any in particular that were really cool when played with the mayhem terrain??

Well...

Rather than the tokens you describe in the Bomb Threat, you could put various pieces of WWG terrain on the table (bits like the soda machine, snack machine, newspaper stand, phonebooth, etc.)

The Villains pick one type of terrain (of which there are 5 on the table), such as "Soda and vending machines), picks it up, doodles a bomb on the bottom with a pen, and puts it back on the board.

Searching a particular type of terrain then involves flipping the object over to check it.

If you had Mayhem Armory or Mayhem Industrial, the scenario could be both indoors and outdoors.

In particular, if you pick up Mayhem Industrial at some point, you will find that it has a variety of different crates, each with different inserts that can be put into them. See the picture below for an insert that would be perfect for the Bomb scenario:



These crates can be opened and closed, so you could actually run a scenario where a searched crate is literally opened and closed. They include gold, guns, grenades, a bomb, a hostage, and bags of what could be either drugs or coffee.


Lessee...other things that can be done with Streets and Bits....

Definately make use of the various heights of Hollywood Flats from BOM and the elevated walkway and rail track to add dimension to the setting. This makes for a more interesting and entertaining setting.

Vehicles...there's a lot in Bits of Mayhem that can really expand out the setting. Better still, they also have bottoms, so when they're tossed around and flipped over, they'll still look good.

Don't forget that Streets has the potholes (great on transparency) and the wasteland tile so that the board itself can reflect the devastation that the players are causing.

cool! thanks for the ideas! im slowly but surely getting more exp. packs. i have a pretty sweet deal in that my friend who i play heroclix with buys all the downloads, and then i build them. he has no artistic or craft talent at all, and so he said he would pay for them if i built it. um...sure i say! so ill be buying BoM downtown next probably...and then some of the others.

anyway, about the potholes and such. im guessing the potholes you are referring to is the page with the black rubble looking pieces. is that what you mean? why would those look better with a transparency??

I guess I'm misremembering...those actually should just be printed on regular card, not on transparency. Still, they make for a handy way to convert a functional city street into a rubble-strewn path of devastation.
