Wow, and I thought that The Maiden was a big download. (I'm on dial-up.) This thing is 'UGE!' And the trailer is gorgeous enough that I watched it three times. And I have to admit part of me wanted to wait for the print version, but dang! it's purty! On this one I am likely to purchase the print version as well, this is going to eat up a lot of ink! (But it will be happy ink.) My goodness, I seem to be running out of exclamation points... (Four in one paragraph.)

Which brings up what is likely a silly question - Will you be putting the trailer on the CD included with the print version? I would love to be able to pull out a CD and show people just what she looks like.

And now the long download wait begins.

*EDIT* And considering the size of the models Denny is coming out with I cede the field in regards to print versions of at least the newer sets. Sets like DW and GR are fine on just the downloadable PDF, but I found myself wanting a preprinted version of The Maiden more than once. You win Denny.

*EDIT 2* Watched the trailer for a fourth time, wanting to see the stairs and tower again... Damn! I am glad I talked you into doing a 1" version, I am already planning out battles using it. (I love fights on stairs, balconies, bridges, and parapets - And they are all there! I am spoiled for choice! (Darned exclamation points are at it again...)

I had previously written that I would buy 2 copies of the print version of this. It turns out that waiting was not an option I was going to consider. Now that I have my own purchased copy and I've gone through all of the instructions and model sheets, I musta say... Woah Man!

Interior stairs! ...For reals? Catwalks?! Can you imagine the insane configurations I can build with spanning catwalks and just the castle walls -- some Escher-esque deep dark dungeon interior possible there.

Invariably, when I try to flash cook an image of a completed castle design, I get pictures of the landscape scenery in the background as well... what detail that must go together in my mind with the inherent intricacy here. I'm wondering how I can incorporate the walls into the cliff-face supporting one of the sides of the castle, and having the drawbridge span over to a rock stair. It's all coming together, and I haven't even started with the printing.

Did anyone else notice Moosey's base changed with this set?

I actually wondered about the "strange" base when the previews were shown, but now it all makes sense.

Shatteredragon, PayPal has worked fine for me when I got CWU. Rpgnow worded that caution note a bit badly. What they ment was that you can use PayPal, but there might be a few problems in the automated system. If you want to avoid those problems, don't use PayPal.
If you use PayPal and don't get your download links just mail the folks at rpgnow with your PayPal receipt and they will send you the links.
Has worked for me in the past and they were extremly quick (got my links less than half an hour after I send the mail about the problem).

Hmmm, for some reason my connection with RPGNow is dead slow right now - CWU is only up to 12%. I am going to shut down, boot back up, and log back in. If that does not work I am going to call it quits for tonight, and try again tomorrow (Two percent in one hour is [i]ssslllooowwww.)

I have just printed all of the instructions. It took forever.

Expansion set - round towers, matching tower tops, ruined walls and towers.

When are you going to make some fantasy/ancient/medieval ships in a useable size? The Maiden is wonderful but, sometimes, we all need smaller models.

CWU is absolutely gorgeous...I played with it most of last night. The bowties are a clever addition. We'll see if they work better than the masterboard. Denny you have outdone yourself.

I decided to start with the biggest piece (I think?); the gatehouse! WOW is this sucker nice. Very tricky, though. Had a couple spots where I slipped up and had to reglue very carefully. Even with my mistakes, its looking incredible, though.

I finally got to build a little last night. Not much, just a 2-story house. I used the transparencies for the windows and they looked really cool. I still need to stick the roof on the thing though and add some stairs + props. With a bit of luck, I'll have most of Saturday to fiddle and fold stuff.
