Just curious if you've been finding the website running a tad slow in the past couple weeks. At least from my end I've noticed things bog down a bit when we were forced to move to a different server.

In related news, we are making preparations to move to a completely new host with a number of needed store upgrades and fixes. That move should follow Wormhole not too long after release.

I haven't really noticed a problem. Perhaps a bit of a lag when I post a message, but I'm not sure thats really slower.

Maybe you should knock of the Youtube videos!

What are your ping times and how many hops in your trace route?

There are two factors which affect the look and feel of a network connection. One is throughput, i.e. how many MB/s your link can handle. The other factor is latency, how long does it take for a data packet to get to a site.

Because a web page contains soo many pieces of information from so many locations

So... My ping time to your web page is about 100ms, and it seems fine... not blazing or anything. My Ping time to fast web pages is 100ms...

Anyone else got some ping times?

Also... you're on Vancouver Island aren't you? There's bound to be perfomance issues from an island. (When I interviewed at BCTel in 1991, they carefully explained to me that there was no need for further bandwidth from Vancouver island. So they were going to put 2 more copperlines in, instead of 1 fiber line.)

Ping times from my mom's place in Hawaii are attrocious...

It is definitely not all the time - but my usual routine involves opening up the topics that are listed as new in several windows and reading each in turn. A few times over the weekend it took a few minutes to open all the windows (would usually take seconds). Just assumed it was my provider being busy.....

I have noticed it seems very slow. I hit refresh on the home page a week ago and I'm still waiting for the WIP to update... ;D

Sorry, couldn't resist. It seems a bit slow... but then a lot of sites have seemed slow recently. It still works fast enough for me... but faster is always a good thing.

Im just had problems the day WH was released. Other times, the conection mistakes are more guilt from the poor internet companys here in Spain...they simple %&$&$.(Put whatever bad word in the symbol)

I am still having that problem. I set my homepage to this forum due to the fast load time, I thought my computer was having another problem, but nope, it seems to be the forum.
