I found a preview pic for the tank on another site.



But this pic doesn't show what the finished 3d shape would be like.

A preview of the built standees would be helpful. And not as prone to pirating as a CGI sample.

Of course when they get into complicated standees of vehicles, I begin to wonder why not just make a paper model?

Of course that wouldn't help with the large riding beast standees. Those I like the multiple faces.

Ah I understand the like and smartness behind computer gen images but the one feature that is lost it that the figures do not "pop" when on the table.
If you put a One Monk or a WWG paper figure next too a CGI standee, like Arion's work your eye will not pick out the cartoonish textures but will instantly see the figure. It's all to do with the lines defining the objects.

Up close and personal (or on the screen) the CGI stuff looks great, it's just when you get it off the screen and onto the table that is where CGI becomes too small and the hand designed art really shines.


Rabidfox I like the concept of Graham's work it's just that he doesn't use lighting correctly so his work which could really look impressive just looks very unimpressive. I have done in the past a few figures wasing the same program's as Graham - looks great but once scaled correctly they loose it.
