I am new to WorldWorks, Talae at DragonAvenue sparked my interest with a review I read. So I came over and checked you guys out. After looking over the great fantasy products my wife and I settled on the MiniChunk Dungeon. My question is this, do any other products use the Pro Masterboard you build for the Mini Chunk? I apologize if I have overlooked the odvious answer but would like some help. After investing in building the master Baord I would like to get as much use out of it as possible. Or can you maybe modify other kits to be used with it? Thanks for the help and thanks for the great product.

Masterboards are simply a flat mats, you could use them with any other sets. Its just an issue if you like the way other walls look with them.

There is another alternative to master boards, Kanelinx. In this method the tiles are separate square connected by removable bow tie connectors. By applying the printed tile after the the foamcore is cut the connectors are hidden.

Again forgive my newbie ignorance, but are you saying for example the Inns and taverns set could eaasily be used on my masterboard, the inns and taverns use floor tiles attached to foam, which I can then attach "velcro" to to use on it? How would the walls work on this set? How about Hinterlands? I am looking at my next build and want to use it with my current masterboard with velcro.

To clarify from what LD has been saying, the Pro Masterboard in Minichunk and Chunky Dungeons was really only utilized for those two sets. That said, you could very easily and with very little work convert any of the other sets to use velcro, but there wouldn't be much of a point. The velcro system works great for those two sets (mainly because of the chunky walls) but Kanelinx is probably more optimal for the other sets, and it isn't really any more work even if you already have the velcro board built.

An easy way to convert the masterboard/paperlinx systems to the pro masterboard would be to construct each room as an individual, standalone item and add velcro to the bottom so you can easily add it to your pro masterboard/minichunk build. While the set rooms are slightly less versitile than the freeform way minichunk goes together you compinsate this by makeing a few "open" rooms with only one to two walls in various layouts. You can use these half/quater/whatever rooms to build your more complex rooms on the fly like with mini chunk (its just easier to build the more common rooms sizes and designs you will need as whole units)

Edit: When building it this way base your rooms and half rooms on double or triple layered cardstock rather than foamcore, this will prevent a noticable difference in floor height that will take away from the finished look of the build. Also leave a slightly larger space between the edge of the item and the begining of the velcro so you can slip somthing under it when lifting, doing this on just the corners works fine too.
