I just finished CD its a huge set but very modular and a great looking! I didnt use the promasterboard setup and probly wont for any of my builds...ill post pics this weekend if my friend brings his camera.

Once I get the pics up then the idea of what I want to create will be clearer and I would appreciate anybodys help in the preproduction planning.

Truthfully, I've only been building for a few weeks, and I've been busy planning a trip to england in april, so I haven't gotten to build that much. Right now I'm making a bunch of the chunky dungeon pieces in black and white (it's a lot cheaper to print on the laser printer at work ).

I made some of gothic realms and caveworks before deciding on building out mostly with chunky dungeons first. I decided I'm going to try and do the Shackled City Adventure Path from Dungeon Magazine. The first module looks easy enough to build with Chunky Dungeons, although it will be a large build. I'm wanting to actually build as we go, but not keep on taking pieces off to build more rooms, So I'm going to have to make a lot of pieces, and at least 4 pro master boards. I found I like the pro masterboard the best for keeping pieces where they should be, although I've yet to build using the PaperLinx system in CastleWorks.

I did do one piece of kit bashing. At first I was thinking of doing [i]The Sunless Citadel[/] as my first module, and they had a couple of short crenalated walls built as defenses in two rooms on the first floor, so I modified the "Difficult Crenelation" to be a short, freestanding wall. It came out really well.

I'll get into kit bashing when I get enough normal pieces built, and I'm trying to create pieces specific to the first module.

I was getting the printing done on my dads laser it was also printing a large notebook of rules...Ive scince bought the cheapest bubblejet I could find and it works great...

Wow Seal you have alot of patience... I built maybe a 3rd of what you got there and I was about to go insane from the repetativeness and seemingly never getting anywhere near complete enough to use. You've got my respect!

I think Chunky D would work well with Warhammer Quest too(it also uses a Random Dungeon generator system). I might have to finish off enough pieces of it to match the tiles in WHQ and give it a try.

Anyway, I noticed alot of props(in your photos) from HeroQuest. Are those the pieces that come with the Advanced HQ game? Or are you recycling? Also, I've always wanted to play Advanced HQ, I hear it's rules are more like the WHFantasy Battles game system.

I recenlty purchased HeroQuest on an Ebay auciton. And am putting it together along with all of it's expansions. I also purchased Castleworks interiors, and I'll be grabbing Gothic realms. Having looked over the list of props for the HQ Game, I'd swear Denny made Castle Interiors & Gothic Realms specifically for this type of game. (Castleworks has ALL the props needed for HQ, including the spiral staircase & removable door system And Gothic Relams has the Tomb and the 2 different types of traps used in HQ.... a happy coincidence?) But I digress...

Seeing the post on Iceworks for the Cave... I may just go ahead and grab it for HeroQuest Barbarian Expansion(icey caves).
