So is any one going to laminate the tiles so you can use the good old magic marker upon it?

Yes I have a laminating machine - That and a scanner usually give free parking anywhere in teh city.


I was looking at laminating the floor tiles then moounting them to foamcore, at this point I haven't tried so I don't know if there are any hidden factors to it.

For laminating game bits and build prototypes, I have a Xyron cold laminator.

It is basically a pair of rollers that feed your cardstock between two sheets of some kind of laminate/adhesive/something.

For lamination, it has a clear adhesive that binds the laminate to the printed matter. So you can cut it afterwards. They also have an invaluable laminate/adhesive. I use it for making tiles and boards--laminate the printed side and stick it on mounting board.

Although, craft stores have now started carrying this wondrous adhesive-backed craft foam sheets. This stuff is great, as it is a 1/8" thick foam that has enough stiffness for tiles, doesn't slide around, and cuts easily with scissors.

I was just about to pack it in for the night and that flashed up. Will have to play with it tomorrow after work with the laminator and the foamboard.
