I dig the asteroid cluster stand. You wouldn't think a 2d asteroid would work, but it looks very cool. I started out with very little interest in Wormhole to putting on my Buy On Release list. Good stuff.

I looked at the asteroid pics and based on the first one I thought, "Are they shipping styrofoam rocks with the vynil mats?" I didn't realize they were 2D until I looked closely at the second pic. The power of good textureing .

The artwork on the mat is pretty nice... I think the black ink usage is by far too extreme, so the printed mat is by far better than the downloadable version (imho).

The asteroids have a very clever design, nice artwork and with all the rules (for random movement) and a DICE damage control system on the base... I thought that wormhole will be a useless product but that asteroids are changing my mind... I think... or somethig... lets see how wormhole works out...

It should be really nice if you release a freebie small ruleset with a pair of ships to have a peek at what it offers.

The Mat version says that comes with downloable props...but...It gives also the pdf version ? ... I think that is usefull to have the physical Mat...but have access also to the pdf to make your own... if you have to bought both then I've to think seriously about which one I prefer...
