I would be very interested in gaming mats and gaming tiles (not that I have ever bought WOTC or AT-43 tiles, but if the right set came along I would.) Maybe generic medieval, modern, and sci-fi Hollywood Flat style buildings, and defintiely the terrain features. But when it comes to interiors and dungeons-style stuff I modify just about everything I build in PhotoShop before it ever gets printed so no market for me with that.

On the positive side, this will be a great way to introduce folks to the hobby.

Stand alone games such as Wormhole will really benefit as well. Strange as it may sound I have had difficulties trying to get folks to play Wormhole, simply because they did not want to cut & assemble their fleets - even though i was supplying the printed ships for them to build.

I really think if there are at least a few very cheap sets it'll really help tangible sales, even if its just a couple props. I spend very, very little on gaming stuff. But if there is something interesting for $3-$5 I'm likely to buy at least one to check it out. Even if I know I'll likely just stick it on a drawer or shelf. This will probably work as well as free samples.

Thats how Wizkids got me with pirates. And I helped get several other people pulled in with that first $10 purchase. In the end I never spent $100 bucks. But the 5 people I played with must be in for well over $1,000 by now.

I like the interchangability of the ground tiles, and some walls.
Right now, I am slowly putting tiles from the mall and Requiem into Shellendrak, to get it just the way i want it.

I'd buy other things like Bits of mayhem pre-made, esp. Deadly Encounters pack.

Gotta do the Flying Car tho!!

If you'll support developing some products that fit the Battletech scale and/or hexmap, I and about 50 of my cohorts at the Battletech site would be all over this. We've got a severe lack of affordable, available terrain options at 1/285 and, though creative, painting cookie boxes black and making garages out of them goes only so far.

Also, I've been slack on buying up terrain lately since I'm living in an apartment with little space atm. When I visit the folks I'll re-evaluate how I can do storage.

If you can get a constructable version of Wormhole going, I think you might have two orders: one for me and one for a friend I'd like to introduce to the game.

I'd be interested in the the tangibles, but will depend on the cost (including shipping) and whether they will be compatible with the PDF builds (e.g. with 7"x7" tiles).

My main problem is getting enough time for building, so tangible has potential if the price point is right - then it will depend on the mix of parts I want an whether I'm likely to want to build extras.
Of course, tangible with the PDF included would get me both ways.

It may also depend on the medium - to me plastic always looks like plastic, whereas cardstock looks a whole lot more realistic for scale buildings etc.

If you are doing printed card, you can get some incredibly really realistic effects with some simple embossing (e.g. the crevices in stone walls, or rivets and joints in metal surfaces) when they're printed. - Do that and I'd be real interested in the tangible product.

I welcome this idea.
I am a gamer with no kitbashing skills.
This change means a great deal less work and a lot more fun for me.
Granted, I will probably still buy the .pdf for expansion and customization, but I would prefer to start with an actual firm structure.

As said by others...I would love to have my hands in a tangible product...IF the shipping cost to Spain (maybe as we're now two or 3 of us can make some arrangemente)...I'm getting lazy so would love to have less job to do... but hope it comes with a pdf to complement it !

Sounds like you've got a good potential revenue stream Denny and here's why. The responses on the board are significantly skewed to people who are either a) cash tight or b) paper-crafters. The market you'd be selling to would be people with a) a little more cash or b) time poor; people you haven't really dealt with yet because WWG caters primarily to the former.

Have you considered a formal market analysis or are you planning to sort of trickle this out, seeing what happens in a "spaghetti-on-the-wall" fashion?
