I can wait on this one, after Christmas or before is fine with me, but I will be purchasing it. (It will likely wait until a few months before I begin work on my B5 campaign again... the siren call of steam pulled my back to Steampunk for a while.)

This looks like another good set for expansions, perhaps a space station set, an alien set replacing english text with alien symbols, useful in a modern game where the ship did not come from Earth. (I ran a game based on XCom for a while... )

Okay, add the Oxleys to the 'gotta have it' crowd. I have started watching Ebay for Space Hulk again. This would sure beat the heck out of the 2-d tiles. Finally a gridded model I would buy to use the grid. I'll just have to buy two, one for the wife and I to work on and one to ship to the son in the Navy.

See if you can find the older version of Space Hulk - while the figure were much better in the second edition the rules were not as good. (The timed Space Marine turns in the first edition gave a much better feel for the Genestealers hive mind.)

Yeah, XCom is a great game, I have on occassion thought about running an XCom RPG using GW Tau for the Greys and Ethereals. Genestealers would work for Chrysalids.

I'd second the search for 1st edition Space Hulk. And you'll find the 2nd Edition boxed set easier if you need the minis and punch outs. The Board Game Geek has the 1st & 2nd Edition Rulebooks for D/l'd. And links to resources for 1st edition stuff.

I'd say grab up Space Crusades if you can find one at a (decent) price. As this is also a very fitting setting, and a bit more variation than Space Hulk. (Board Game Geek has rulebnook plus Mission book available for d/l'd)

Space Hulk is exactly what I had in mind (1st edition cuz I have all the expansions), but my question to Denny is how modular it is. Will I be able to make individual room and corridor tiles. If yes, then this bad boy is bought. I'll just use the 2d tiles from my sets and recreate them in 3d.

Shameless groveling and begging here. I just got back from the dentist and I am in a a rather foul mood right now. Getting a jump on this set would be just the ticket to brighten up my day. I would be truly overjoyed to buy a beta version for the full price as is, right now, no questions asked, just zip up whatever you have right now and let me download it--if you will let me exchange it for the final edition when it goes gold. This is a win-win proposition. I get a head start on the set, and you can take as much time as you need to polish it up just the way you want it for release, without having me staring at you like a cat who sees somebody with a can of tuna. I swear I will not pass the files on to anyone else, and I'll send you pix of the pieces that might even help write the instructions because you'll be able to see if I goof something up. Pleeeeze?

You know, I've been trying to figure out an excuse to use this set, because it just looks so awesome, and I don't think my wife will let me continue to store this stuff without at least a flimsy excuse of future use (she's actually using the room I'm taking up with minis and terrain as leverage to buy a new house). I think I finally figured out the excuse.

There is a new version out, my gaming group has gotten a little too seroius lately, and this set would play perfectly to it. Just add color coding and its a perfect Alpha Complex. I wonder if they make smoking boots minis?
