While I think First Light was very well done I would like to see follow-on sets make more use of curved and conic sections. The advanced technology which allows the manufacturing of curvilinear structures (vice the blocky look of less sophisticated technologies) is one of the reason that many visions of futuristic settings have more elegant-looking forms. At our current level of technology blocky structures are appropriate for purely space-based structures and ground structures due to the lack need for aerodynamic shaping and are generally much more economical to manufacture. However less cubic shapes may be used far more often, even in space, by an advanced technology culture due to improved production methods and materials and aesthetic preferences. (Look at some of the innovative architecture we have now that gets away from primarily cubic shapes.)

Anyway, just a thought for consideration...

For a large Spaceship or especially a Space Station some sort of "observation deck". A large room with a large glass cupola in the outside wall or in the ceiling. You could use this room for different things.
From a Astronomical labor (with telescope, computerscreens with star nebulas) to a Bar (with a Whoopi Goldberg/Guinan standup?) to a conference room or tactical space center with plotscreens like in the old Galactica-serial.
