Okay, here's the pitiful shots of the Inn battle, and why I'm putting together a proper inn. Hopefully, this tragedy of no proper terrain will be averted in the future!

The first shot has the only VillageWorks building complete to that point. As the evening (and battle) progressed, I completed another building that we put close to the inn. That's the building in the other two shots.

Modified the Skullcove Chunky Wall to various lengths and reduced the height to 1" and made it more of a viney green color. This was done to provide secitonal walls surrounding a graveyard. The broken obelisk and a GR:Casket(modified to have an overhanding stone lid) adorn the Graveyard premises.

Part of the Cathedral building from Arena Works have been constructed to represent the entrance to the Mausoleum in the rear of the graveyard.

All of this is being done for an WHQ adventure that starts with the heros having to cross the (1d3+2 per hero) Zombie strewn graves to gain entrance to the maze like corridors of the crypt/mausoleum to defeat a low level Necromancer.

A few PROPS from CK:Interiors (Magic Desk) & Podium w/book will be used as part of the objective room. A creature (Jim Hartmans Crypt Worm is being used as the boss critter) it will make entrance through the well in the center of the Objective room. (Note:The model is huge! And I had to do a new verison at 1/2size)

some of the Custom events for the outside areas include:

Lightning Cascade which will strike the obelisk outside the wall and cause the upper part to fall into the graveyard (forcing anyone in crushing distance to make an init roll to escape, and anyone within 1" to fall ot the ground if they fail.

We need more brains The zombies in this scenario all have special abilities(rolled form a d12 tableat the beggining of the game). This event will allow ALL Zombies already in base contact with a warrior to add +1 to attack roll.

Sometimes they come back...again [d3 + 2] Zombies pull themselves
up from beneath the earth. If a 1 is rolled, the new Zombies get ambush.(They attack as soon as they appear).

Knee Deep in the Dead The earth gives way under (random warriors feet)
burying him to his knees. He can not attack this round as all his attention is
on trying to get out without being overwhelmed by the dead. Any atacks made on him/her get a +1 to hit that round.

Yesterday, I cut and scored about half of what I've printed out from my earlier list; all of the P&I stuff.

Would have done more, but then I got hobbibly sidetracked on the 3D Liquor Cabinet! At least it turned out well.

I also printed a sheet of icicles for the VillageWorks buildings. They look pretty good, but transparency sheets are a pain to cut. No mistakes yet, but it just takes longer. I'll post a pic or two later tonite.

[edit] Need to take a breather! Whew. Smelling felts and then switching off to glue can get to ya! *loopy*

Finished 3 keg shelves, 2 bars, 2 front desks. Getting the simple box-fold stuff out of the way!

[edit 2] 'Nother break. Finished gluing 11 tables & 4 washstands. Once I let 'em sit for a while, I'll be cutting out the legs. A bit fiddly, but it does save on ink to white out those spots before printing.

[edit 3] Those damn tables are gonna be the death of me. I can now completely understand why Master Poe built so few for his "small" pub.

Is there any easy way to cut out the spaces in between the legs? I've tried a brand-new blade and scoring many times (blade sticks eventually, and tears the little that's left of the paper), I've tried pressing deeply (blade sticks right away), and I've tried scissors. Scissors are actually the easiest, but have the most colateral damage! Nasty, unclean lines.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

[edit 4] Well, desperation and impatience make for strange solutions at times. Chisels!

My wife has a set of "wood carving knives" that are, for all intents and purposes, the ideally shaped chisel for cardstock! There's a narrow one for tight fits, and even a 90 degree angled one! With these, I've been able to make another keg support table in about half the time, and much sturdier (no paper tears!).

I wonder if this will all get lost, though, since it's all stuck to the end of an edit string? Ah, well.

Now, I've got two of the keg support tables done, three small square tables done, and the four washstands (I'm not even gonna mess around with the negative space on those tiny things).

Oh, and while I'm at it, I might as well add that a drop of Zap-A-Gap CA+ in the inside of each table leg works well to stabliize it, too!

yesterday i have made some pictures of my broken anvil inn made from chunky walls and p&i interior.

i finished some more prints yesterday and cut them i now have cutted the total P&I twice and chunky once (only walls 4 of each)

Can anybody help me how to include a picture? do i first need to add the picture to the user pictures part?[/img]

Ok, I didn't build any WWG stuff today, but I did build one of these:



113 part numbers, multiple pieces of most of the parts, 700 lbs including weights.

That's gotta count for something, eh?
