I think the thread was about pirates (Keira).

I think we all want another (Keira) set to go with the Sea Maiden.

I KNOW we all want some papercraft miniatures (Keira) to go with it. But what sort of (Keira) characters could they be? Perhaps based on some sort of (Keira) pirate movies that people could identify with.

Well, I'm pretty sure Andorax is an American MO. Last time I checked, Idaho was one of the 50 states. ANd freedom of speech is far more limited than you think. This forum belongs to them, and we have been granted the privledge to post here, it's not our right.

Related to actual WWG business, just how often is the WIP meter updated? Is it once a week, and everything that has reported some forward progress to Denny gets a tweak? Or is it one item at a time, as module/kit authors/designers/artists report that they reached their next milestone?

Just wondering if the WIP is like the kitbashing stuff (which gets updated the same day every week), so I needn't pop in constantly to check it if it has a regular schedule for updates.

Thanks for the post... Now I'm mulling over the geo-political ramifications of this location, trying to glean a bit of what this module will mean, not just as a stand-alone adventure but to the campaign arc. "Seeds of War" is far too pregnant with campaign implications... This is purely the "alien" looking down on the map, speculating, since I haven't purchased any of the modules yet, but if this blows up into something with a larger story arc, pregnant with nice crunchy bits and smaller campaign development, then I'm all-in...
To be fair, I should qualify that I don't fully know the story-line behind Something Below or Missing Persons... If these DO somehow tie in to the campaign arc (which I'm sure they do!), then a few more purchases are in order.. Please forgive my ignorance, I just haven't had the chance to see how the "little events" impact the "big events"... And my time/ gaming group grows smaller every day...

Impose a regular schedule on artists Conaill? Pa-Lease! It's probably taxing Denny to the limits having to pay his taxes on a quarterly basis.

Can you imagine what would happen if he required, say, weekly progress reports from his teams? To be of any use they would need to be tied to MS Project Plan Milestones, which would be spread about at various intervals, so that hitting one meant the WIP meter could move a tick closer to completion.

With an organization this spread out, you're talking weekly video-conferencing of status, possibly with PowerPoint presentations catching the highlights to show current progress (texturing, storylines, etc).

I'm just not seeing that. I have a feeling it's more like this:

Denny (on the phone): Hey Steve. How's Hostile Takeover coming along?

Steve: Get off my back man! This is a creative process, and the juices are being stifled because of constant interference from The Man. Just let me become one with the ruleset and I swear I will create a thing of beauty that will blow your mind. I can't work in an environment of mistrust. You're killing me Denny, you're killing me!
