I'm not really worried about being criticised, I have had many savage crit sessions at various schools that make this look like a garden party! I value all of it highly. It's really hard to hurt my feelings.

I haven't been designing this stuff very long at a proffessional level and I have lots to learn. That being said, I have LOTS of ideas about taking the hobby to places it has not gone before....there is SO much that can be done!

agreed auld, about being annoyed at the fan base that don't tolerate critisism in any form. Again though, the critisism has already been stated. Its already been discuessed. And its already been accepted by the creator. The words you responded to were designed to inflame you (In my humble opinion). What it resulted in, was you being forced to restate what we didn't like about seige works early release pictures. (Though I don't like the word stupid myself, i'm sure it took a lot of intelect to create working paper seige engines).

My point was, this is a rather friendly forum and I'd sure hope we all like it that way. I'm all for productive, and productive is at times a bit akward, or even mildly hurtfull. The post from kithmaker wasn't really productive it was just written to provoke/ attack.

Paul, glad to hear that your not adversly affected by the repitition of the critisism. Though I do feel it was justified originally, I don't agree with the continuation of it (at least until the next picture relase!). Keep up the good work!

Back on a less acerbic note - I wonder if the new Castle Works Ultimate will have the same wall height as the old one given that the siege tower was modified to interact with that height.

Yes, the CWU wall height will be consistent with the original CW. Multiple wall heights are a shoe-in at this point.

The Seige Tower with adjustable levels? OOhhh...that haunts my nightmares...although you are welcome to have a bash. I've had a hard enough time with it so far!

BTW, I am offering pages of just the metal shingles and hides, so if you want to apply them as cut out pieces you can. Yup, it's a lot of work but it looks sensational! There will alsio be versions with printed-on plates and hides.


The "Hero" builds of the final, revised versions are coming along nicely, as are the revised instructions. As soon as I get good weather and lighting, pictures will be posted.
