I have always liked many options for game models for RPG's and wargames. I use hydrocal models and repainted toys for buildings and scenery as well, but I like the option of building cardstock elements when I need them to represent a decent likeness of where my adventures travel. I enjoy modeling and have been relatively new to cardstock modeling, but I enjoy it enough to dabble in designing my own stuff. Using photoshop and WoW filters I can make cool textures...when I get a piece done I will gladly share it with you Denny to get an opinion. Your stuff is terrific. The last nice cardstock models I had came from 21st Century Models and they are no longer around. So it is great to be able to print my own anytime I want to.
Ready made is nice, but as in 21st Century's case I can no longer obtain them even if I wanted to. Keep up the great work.

I am working on the Maiden now but currently for purposes of creating an old fashioned spelljammer. It's basically a study at this time as I am putting a vessel on the back of a small space fairing jammer. My preliminary estimate is that the actual size of the small jammer in scale will be around 3 feet by 3 feet, maybe slightly larger by the time I am done. Whew...I would like to do a 3d model but currently think deck by deck using the maiden and some other sets will work for now. Wish me luck....

*EDIT* Hmmm, I see that so far at least no square towers, and no octagonal machiolations... 'skay, I'll live. The thing so far looks fantastic!

Thanks for the kind words all. There are still a few surprises around the corner. Some of the more unique and dare I say "groundbreaking" elements are "hidden" for the moment.

I will try to get some octagonal machicolations in there for you Grump (time permitting). And to your previous question, yes the Gatehouse has an in swept angle on the lower level (on the inside). I'll take some 360 pics of it at some point to give everyone a better look.

I like the idea of expansion sets for the 'extras', especially if that will get me the basic set quicker.

However you decide to release CU, I am going to buy everything. $15 to $20 is nothing compared to the cost of figures,rules, etc.
