I noticed last night as we were driving home from a game that I couldn't navigate from the front page to the forums on my iPhone. The button bar at the top of the page (Explore Catalog | Tutorials | Community) has clickable drop downs for browsing the catalog and the tutorials, but the "Community" button is not clickable. Something you guys might want to take a look at. This is on iPhone 4, using iOS version 4.3.5 (8L1) on AT&T. |

How strange. Here's how the code is set up: -The Catalog button has a dropdown and is clickable as well (clicking the button takes you to the general catalog, the dropdown takes you to any major category). -The Tutorial/FAQ button doesn't have a dropdown, but being clickable, it goes straight to the tutorials area. -The Community button has a dropdown for the forums and galleries, but is not clickable itself because there's no one generic community homepage to go to, just a listing of destinations. So, you definitely shouldn't be seeing a dropdown nav menu for the Tutorials button, but you should be seeing a dropdown nav menu for the Community button. Can you confirm that this is the case? Right now, off the top of my head, your description of the issue sounds like the iPhone is rendering the community dropdown too far to the left, making it look like a dropdown for the Tutorial button. If it's actually appearing while you're hovering over the Tutorial button also, that definitely gives me a pretty strong hint of where to look for the issue. |

How about an all-in-one image of what I see? Catalog drop down, Tutorials goes straight to the displayed page (no drop down), and the Community link does nothing. If I zoom way in on Community, so it's the only clickable area in the view, it still does nothing. |

That helps a lot! We definitely do have a problem. I'll check the header code. |

Nuts. Looks like my fix didn't take. I'll have to see if I can wrangle some time on an iPad or an iPhone to get a direct feel for what the issue might be. |

I fired up Firebug and it looks like the ones that work all have an anchor element within the div, but the forum div element does not. I'm pretty sure that's not the problem--it's just a modified take on the classic Suckerfish menu, and it worked fine in the multitude of browsers that I routinely check my own work in. It's more likely to be a Javascript issue with iOS, but I'll stick an anchor pointing to the forum in there and see what happens. |

The Community button now leads to the forum. It likely won't solve the iOS-specific issues fully, but you should be able to at least click the Community button to get to the forum. Can you confirm that this is the case? |

If you read ENWorld, they use Tapatalk. I actually find it easier to use Tapatalk to read ENWorld than going to their forums. |

I'm definitely looking into it and plan to discuss it with Denny soon. |

Oh yeah, I remember reading about Tapatalk when I went to GenCon last year. If its something we can handle relatively easy I'd love to do it. I frequently check the forums from the road so I think it would be handy! |

Well, there we go. They have a phpBB 3 plugin and they claim it's easy to integrate, so I was gonna see what you thought, then I'd get us signed up and vet the plugin. I think it's important to support mobile users with a more native interface for the news and social bits at least. I'll tend to it later in the weekend. Got some other website stuff to do today after sending out the newsletter. |

Fingers crossed that it works - it'll be handy to have a mobile friendly version of the forums. |

never heard of tapatalk but after a quick 5 min install on my phpBB3 forum it's up and going, so it shouldn't be a problem here... and wow, I'm pretty impressed with a $3 app how easy it makes going to my favorite forum. I'll definitely use it for here if it gets up. |
