The spiritual descendant of the Isetta 600 microcar and the Volkswagen Beetle, the Brio boasts three seats, two gull-wing side doors for the passengers, a canopy-style front door for the driver, and an annoyingly cheerful engine sound that people either love or hate.

As the manufacturer likes to say, "It's impossible to be sad in a Brio."

Kitbash Aids

As a bonus, this model includes an editable version in Photoshop PSD format, which can be opened by many free graphics editors like The GIMP as well as low-cost editors like Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop Elements. Beginners can recolor the model to their heart's content with little or no effort, using just the flood fill and brush tools. Advanced users can insert additional layers and create more complex color schemes.

This set also includes automated GSD cutting files and illustrated instructions.

Wow...I wasn't expecting this level of enthusiasm. I'm glad you guys like it!

-Typos: I'm embarrassed to admit that I didn't even notice the typos when Denny sent the promo renders back to me with the fancy whatsits plastered all over them, so the fault is also mine. I normally spel gud and all that, but...wow. I'm embarrassed.

-Racing: Tomas, can you remind me to revisit this idea later after the store goes live? I have some ideas on how to make kitbashing racing versions easy, but that'll have to wait until after the new storefront launches.

-Herbie the Love Brio: I know what my first kitbash is gonna be now.

That's me. Now if the neighbors would stop making panicked phone calls to Animal Control every time I take the trash out, life would be simpler.





Things are a bit more disciplined over here--we have a release pipeline that we feed products into so they can be released at nicely spaced intervals. Besides, the best time for this model to come out is alongside Streets of Titan or afterwards, so I'm cool with waiting.

Paul reskinned my Brio geometry for Streets of Titan a little while back, so SoT does indeed come with 2 alternate skins for the Brio. This is a separate product with 12 civilian versions (6 in stock manufacturer colors, and 6 in performance colors).

Paul's has a lightly armored Blade Runner spinner vibe to it, while mine is meant more for the Infinity crowd where the slick and shiny aesthetic dominates.
