Hey guys, thanks for the free Himmelveil Canals set. Much appreciated.
To show my appreciation, and to go with the set, I've ordered the streets and sewers sets.
(Can't believe it's taken me this long to pick these up)

Thanks again

IF you don't have Thoumonts or Feisty Friar yet you will find you just have to have them once you start with streets. :)

Hey thank you Shadegate! That's really awesome of you to offer extra support. In this economy, that means a heck of a lot!

I am hopeful for a bunch of cool Canals builds after the freebie! Can't wait to see the creativity.

I think when TLX launched I had a load of other things on the go so never bought any sets. Then I dropped out of the hobby altogether due to ongoing work commitments. Now I'm back and can't believe how TLX has taken off and I'm really enthused about giving it a go.

I'm also a firm believer in one good turn deserving another. I'd 'liked' the WWG site on facebook long before the promotion so really got a freebie on the back of others efforts in the new publicity drive.

Finally at 11.50 these sets are an absolute steal.

and 'Ehisey' you are right, streets are nothing without buildings so Feisty and Thoumonts are next on the list.

It's good to be back!

Yes, thank you for making a set that I did not have yet free! In appreciation I also bought Feisty Friar. All I can say is holy crapacola, what an incredible set!

I bit late, but I'd like to add my thanks as well; I really enjoy building these TLX sets and appreciate all the hard work that goes into designing them. Offering a free set was a most generous gesture :YMAPPLAUSE: :-BD

First off I want to say that I love WWG and the fact that they gave away one of their beautiful sets for free was great.

However I do want to post that I am a bit disappointed that the promotion ended after only 2 days when the original topic said "we'll make one of our previous TerrainlinX releases FREE for 1 week!".

Now I'm not trying to say you owe us anything, but I did want to point out that there are probably at least few others out there a bit sore about missing out just because they don't check the site everyday.

That being said, I look forward to my next purchase and keep up the good work.

I believe Homer Simpson said it best. "Why would I want to leave America just to visit America, Jr.?"

Also, like Ulrtrathrax I was surprised by the two day freebie, but I never bothered to go back and double check the original post to confirm since I managed to log on and snag the download.

When WWG announced that Canals was the prize, I was a bit crestfallen, I already bought the set, I think. Thought I bought it earlier last year. Haven't built it because of work issues, but I think it is on my hard drive, but I can't check. Darn computer has been in the shop for almost three weeks now.

Think I bought it the same time I bought a few other sets, but they do not show up on "My Collection". Not sure why. Did buy the Feisty Friar and the addition to it. Guess I will find out what all I have when I get my computer back on Tuesday or sometime soon, I hope. Sucks when your computer gets old. Kind of like when we get old.

@ mrken: Quote:"Sucks when your computer gets old. Kind of like when we get old. "
- Don't remind me! ;)

Me, I did buy Sewers just a month ago or so along with a *bunch* of stuff, so I was a little disappointed that that was the Freebie...
But I have no disappointments about the quality of any of the sets (though I have a bit of a hard time reading some of the fonts used...). Everything is just so excellent! [New catch phrase?]

I, for one, am glad canals was free. I totally forgot about the freebie and didn't check back, but I had already bought canals last year, so I haven't really lost anything.

I have all my WWG in DropBox so I can access it wherever I need, and if my harddrive crashes and burns like it has twice in the past, I have all my important files.

Damn...missed this one. Between training a new beagle puppy, getting a new NetBSD box up and running, converting my homepage and back online, being tech support for the wife and family, and other day to day chores, cardstock kinda went on the back burner. On a side note, I really don't do facebook much anymore. I've been disenchanted with it for several reasons. Oh well...maybe Himmelveil Canals (or some other set) will be offered free sometime in the future. C'est la vie
