Interesting. You edged in black. Hmmm. I've built the big one, which is fine, but there are some white bits! Tried doing a colour edging which does NOT look good  Time to go back over in black. One thing I'll also do with my next build is to "edge" the tabs, about 1-2 mm (16th of an inch or so) deep, as despite my best intentions, there were a few tabs sticking out as I glued it all around. |

OKay, now I have to go and buy both sets so I can get the matching ground tiles and then I think before I do any old west, It's off to the Holy land and the Crusades!

Just finished my first set of 3. (1 each). I only have one bridge atm, but plan on fixing that. These look great. Most important lesson I learned: Edge before you glue. I didn't do that on the small bluff and the Plateau, but did on the Large Bluff, and there is a difference. These things took a while to build. (I think around 16 total hours for me) but this was all by hand. There's a good amount of reverse scoring, and one thing not made clear on the pages is that every "ground to wall" tab on the Ground pieces is a reverse score. (Found that out on my first run through. These cliffs are destined for my 40k Realm of Battle Board (which will also be my deadlands play area when done). I have a friend whipping up some other terrain pieces, and when I get them all together I'll show a mixed terrain snapshot. As for strength: I put an entirely metal one of these guys on the Plateau without any trouble. Added shots to the gallery. |

I've finally picked up both deadfall sets and am in the process of setting up my canyon. I've found several wilderness tiles that will work great with the bluffs to create a canyon for either Crusades, old West, or even that Star Wars race on Tattoine.  I figure I'll use about 24 tiles for a 24" by 36" base area and then build the bluffs to fill in where I want to direct the party to go. I'm also remembering some scenes from Silverado that I can use in some old West scenarios. |

Huh, interwebs seem to eaten my previous post. So one more time; Finally decided to build the Small Bluff kit and everything printed beatifully but one of the gsd files for the supports was wonky. Should look like this; But was actually this; So here is the corrected gsd file (cutfile only, no textured bits); Everything else worked great.
