Hmm... yeah, count me as slightly upset that the least-popular option from the poll is coming out first. Not even a whisper about any of the others. It would be one thing if we knew they were being worked on, but this was just progressing faster for unrelated reasons. |

While I don't play Egyptain themed games, or even games in the deserts, and have no intention in buying this set, I could. Western themed games hold perhaps the least interest for me. Having said that I did buy several of the Deadlands sets. I didn't want to. But they had dirt roads, wooden floors, shingled roofs, how could I pass them up? Buildings tend to be my favorite parts of the game for me. Between the Friar and Thoumounts I thought I was in heaven. Then I see the Stables set start. I couldn't wait, had to buy something. lol |

I'm actually pretty interested in this set. While I admit I don't know exactly what I'd do with it, I'd damn sure FIND a use for it. And Matt's stuff is always awesome. In fact, it could possibly be useful for that globe-trotting "Rippers" Savage Worlds campaign I always tell myself I'm going to run. And then don't. |

Another thing to bear in mind, is that even though a lot of people may not have voted for Pharaoh's Descent, it's possible there was a lot of spoken interest in it. Remember that the poll thread included pages of people giving their opinions on everything, but the poll was only a "pick your favorite". I don't know if this was indeed the case or not, but it's worth mentioning. |
