HobbyTown has a free advertising magazine they put out, the HobbyOutlook. Most recent one showed up in my mailbox yesterday. Of particular interest was something I found on page 17. Well...you can see it for yourself here: The long and the short of it is this...they are having a contest for model ship builders, and that contest is on April 2, 2005! I *do not know* if a cardstock Maiden would be a legal contest entry, nor if it would stand a chance of winning against a several-hundred-dollar painstakingly assembled over hundreds of hours wood, metal, and plastic model...but if you have completed a Maiden, or can do so in only one week...if you have a HobbyTown near you...and especially if you want to take something unexpected there to draw some attention, provoke some comments, and perhaps even do some word-of-mouth advertising for WorldWorks, then I urge you to check it out. More so, I urge you to go down there and enter your Maiden into their contest! What say ye, me hearties? Will ye set sail for the good o' the Pirate King Denny? |
