I once worked here and I can tell you that you don't get paid up front everything is a % of each sale of a set that you had a hand in. I even still got the contract on hand! |

Greetings all, I am new to this site and am just amazed at the quality. I am working towards buying my first set(s). To hear that people think the designer side is 'dead' is unfortunate, but as a person just discovering the site I am excited to get building. I hope that the site remains active. A great way is to share how people are using the produce with their gaming groups. In this day and age the more people talk about things, the more successful they usually are. Peace, Ambrose |

Greetings! I didn't take part in this forum for years, but I bought a few models each year - not being aware of the current state of WWG. It's sad that Danny etc. moved on to new business, but I can somewhat understand their decision... BUT - and that's a CAPITAL but - I think we, as fans and (more or less, as I am careful to call me so) dedicated followers of WWG could probably produce some more stuff which might keep WWG "alive"?! Those tons of fan-made kitbashes are a great start. My reason to revisit this forum today might proof to be another one: Back in 1994 Heroquest stepped into my life and stayed there until today. It got me into (and out again) tabletop wargaming - and we still play Heroquest today. We changed the rules into some kind of elaborate dungeon-crawler probably compareable to Descent 2nd ed., including many RPG elements and were joking one time or another to publish it some day. Today I thought of mailing to Denny whether there might be any interest in this ruleset... (I'm definitely aware of the fact that there happens to be a HQ 25th anniversary edition out there as well as the fact that my English might not be sufficient for this task, but I could easily imagine a way to twitch and tweak the rules until they are not too HQish anymore. And it might be interesting to have some WWG-Miniature-Dungeoncrawler-ruleset around. Might it not?) My question: Does any of you see an opportunity to get a project like this started? (Though my time is limited as I'm a teacher in Germany?) I'm looking forward to hear your opinion! |
