Aye, /em echos the sentiments above I can appreciate your need for a distraction though. A good choice i think. And video games... they work for me in the short term anyway. Best wishes to your dad for a speedy recovery. And to you and your family for pulling together! (the latter being something that can never be underestimated in its positve effects) -Floyd |

Thanks for all the kind words. Quick update - the surgery went fantastic, the doctor said he wished all went this well (he was out before the projected time, for a change). His chest bleeding is way down, they woke him up early this morning and he's awake and about (eating breakfast about now), and in general doing well. We're heading back over for another visit. Thanks again, you guys.

Sorry to hear about your Dad, Robby. I know what you're going through though, my Dad had quadruple by-pass and a valve replaced about 12 years ago. Just make sure to be there for him and help him out as much as you can! Good thing about my Dad's incident, helped my Dad get a whole lot closer to me! Shame it takes something like that to cause people to grow closer. Heres hoping your Dad recovers quickly! I talked to my Dad on Sunday (it being Father's Day and all) and he sounded 1000% better, and I say that without an ounce of exaggeration. It was a wonderful thing to hear, too. Apparently his recovery is going as well as the surgery did, and he is cruising along (relatively speaking, of course). Thanks everyone for your thoughts and hopes and prayers and all. They are much appreciated. |
