I used the drawing tools in Microsoft Word to create a tool for making First Light layouts. All rooms, including those in the expansion, are included.

Screen shot:

If anyone wants to try making their own layouts, the .doc file is available here:
http://astro1.panet.utoledo.edu/~dnero/worldworks/FLRplans.doc

Just copy the rooms from the first page and paste them onto another page. The rooms should snap to an invisible grid. The rooms are even rotatable! (With the lone exception of the chunky stairs - at least on my computer). Note that you may get strange results if you have a different version of Word than me.

If you want to make customizations, you'll need to open the Drawing toolbar. You can see it docked on the bottom left of the screen shot.

Finally, for those without Word, here is an html version: http://astro1.panet.utoledo.edu/~dnero/worldworks/FLRplans.htm

If you print a couple of copies of this, you can cut the pieces out and arrange them by hand.

Hey, thanks Spoo. I was looking for something just like that!

I'm not sure what version of Word I have but it's with a new computer and seems complete and up to date. I'll have to check.

But I'll certainly check out the link. Nice one! :D

MAGS

*EDIT* Well it downloaded just fine. I'm over the moon! I'm a bit old-fashioned so I can see me printing and cutting out and moving 'em around manually, but I'll try the proper contols as well. Excellent!

OK. you said that too! I was downloading so quickly I didn't even read it all properly. Actually, I was meaning to draw up and scan some plans similarly by hand, so you've saved me the hassle. I can't tell you how tickled I am.

Awesome! Thanks, Spoo!

I hope the powers that be see this as a good thing. I can only imagine they will, what with CapnG's planner, and all.

Good job! :D

Actually he's saving me a job, thanks Spoo! ;)

I'm not certain but I'm pretty sure I had said before that individual expansions won't get planners, only the main sets. Later on down the road, if they become repackaged into super sets or combos or something that might change.

I'm glad you like it. 8)

Let me know if you notice any mistakes.

I should also add that you can display the grid by going to the Drawing toolbar > click on Draw > select grid > click on "Display gridlines on screen". The Drawing toolbar itself can be opened by right-clicking on any toolbar and placing a check next to Drawing. (This may vary slightly for different versions of Word). I have Word 2002.

If you make any cool layouts with this, I want to see pictures! :D

Hi Spoo,

I've been off the board for a while but I thought I'd check in to tell you your system really is ace. :D

I've been doing it the old fashioned way. I printed a load off and I cut 'em out and play with them, pasting up all sorts of configurations. Great fun and such a time-saver!

I guess he uses that feat well.

Wordiness [Epic]
Prerequisites: Wordiness, Bluff 20 ranks, Charisma 14+
You are able to astound with your epic wordiness. You can be wordy as a free action.
Normal: Being wordy is usually a full-round action.

Well, it saves alot of time. This way I can post, move 30ft, and perform any other standard action in the time that most people take to just post.

Wounds: 3 Immune to wounding remarks and psychic scathing.

Now that is what I call a tricky move: saying the least to get other guys writing the most!
