Denny & Co: Just wanted to make sure that WorldWorks Games will be represented at the Ennies this year. The are *the* foremost award in roleplaying games, originally grown out of EN World, but recently having been accepted as the official GenCon award as well. The Ennies have grown quite a bit in importance over the past couple of years, and at the very least they provide some significant visibility at GenCon itself. Products released between June 1, 2004 and May 31, 2005 are eligible for this years awards, but entries have to be submitted by the companies by TOMORROW, June 10! You can find the and more info on the . Products may be entered in as many categories as they are eligible for. Just off-hand, I can easily see at least 5 categories in which WWG could be a significant competitor: - Best Art (Interior) - Best Production Values - Best Electronic Product - Best Aid or Accessory - Best Publisher Sorry for the last-minute notice. The Ennies kinda fell off my radar screen for a while. Hope they didn't fall off yours! |

As much as I would like to dedicate time to the Ennies we really don’t have any to spare. There’s just too much on the go currently and no one has time for the submissions process. Not to slag the Ennies but I’ve never really been too concerned with the award scene anyway. It definitely has it's purpose but that's not what drives me to create great product. Maybe next year. |

Oh well. I was afraid that might be the case at this late moment. I'll just have to get on your case a little earlier next year. Are you going to have some kind of presence at GenCon at least? How's that WWG deadline coming, BTW? That was June 11th if I remember correctly... |

Just a quick call to action... We will still be able to vote for WWG as a write-in for the Ennies' . Right now, I just need someone to second my nomination of WWG in the thread above. All publishers with two nominations will be put up for vote, starting Monday, July 25th. Meanwhile, you can check out the in the other categories, and vote on them in the . |

Thanks Aleph! But dude... how could you not be a member of EN World yet!? Seems like that would be pretty much obligatory if you want to start a gaming community. ![]() Heh - even if WWG doesn't win, at least something good will have come out of this. ![]() |

Just because I've never posted on their boards doesn't mean I'm not on their site quite often! ![]() Fantastic source for gaming aids. My favs? Ema's D&D sheets (spell sheets specifically), and Bradley B's D&D character sheet, which we rebuilt into an 8-page behemouth! Crammed full of every possible thing you'd ever want or need, with versions for Eberron, Kalamar, and Greyhawk. Ah, yes, being a geek is awesome! |
