Oh, by the way, this is not intended for 24 hour WWG day, I just happened to have spent 24 hours building... (Bit of a lie there - I built for about 18, then decided 'what the heck, let's go for 24...') Now I have printed up enough material for a proper Arena, so that will likely be my actual 24 hour project. I wish there was a planner for Arena Works.... I may mutate this to another Theater in the Round, the urge to run All the King's Men again is rising. No surprise, the old one ended up a gift... It was going to be a prize, but by the time I finished running AtKM I had severed ties with the shop. (Just after the theft of the church.) Besides the which, my old Arena Works discombobulated pretty thoroughly this Spring. The Auld Grump |

Grump, I love the fact that you do this type of thing just because you can. ![]() |

And I have decided to go back to my old tradition, when the Festival is over I will be giving the mill and the chapel as prizes to the players of the two best warbands - one in each class. Everyone will be allowed to take home two of the lesser Village Works buildings (which means that I need to build just a few more). I find that I missed giving buildings away... And I used to build more too, once I decided to go back to giving them away I started modelling again in large numbers. And as a side note: Village Works looks darned strange with Tyranids swarming over it... but the new GW plastic Carnifex looks about a dozen times better than the previous versions. (But I am still refusing to buy anything from GW, yet another price increase went through...) One of the kids brought his WH 40,000 army to show me. None of the kids brought cameras this year, but the Hive Tyrant peaking out of the ruined mill looked darned cute. Somehow he manages to look... friendly? The Auld Grump |
