Hi everyone, I recently got into Heroclix and went scouring the web for some new maps. I found the SoM set and was awestruck. Absolutely fantastic texturing and brilliant geeky cool factor ![]() Anyhow, surfice to say that I bought the PDF and have made two bridges and about 5 road sections so far. I'm loving it! Great job WWG!!!! ![]() I can see myself getting a bit addicted to this modelling lark ![]() I do have a confession to make though. I could only find 160gsm paper-card and this doesn't like our colour laser printer in my office. So I'm printing on paper and then sticking it onto the 160gsm card. It works pretty damn well!! I'm sure there'll be some purists who'll faint at what I've just typed ![]() Dave |

CodeThief - welcome to your new addic... hobby, and to the WWG boards. You'll find that the people here are really friendly and helpful. Well, usually. ![]() And I don't think anyone is going to faint at gluing paper to cardstock - I've heard of people doing that before, or printing onto adhesive and putting that on cardstock, using matboard, foamcore, vinyl tiles and even good ole cardboard. It is rumored that some of us even use scissors on rare occasion. ![]() |

Welcome from me too. I have been printing on only 90gsm as I didn't want to risk my printer with too heavy a sheet of card. It works well so far and keeps the colors clear without wrinkling. I'm mounting the SoM tiles onto Foamcore and will probably use small pieces to strengthen the buildings in MA when they are released. Nothing wrong with using paper, but I would have thought that paper would wrinkle a lot from the ink. Have you had any problems with it? I second Denny in that I would love to see some photos ![]() Arabin |
