Post subject: | Future of 1.5" Fantasy? |
Since WizKids has announced that they are in its current format, will support for the 1.5" scale fantasy products continue? Will the implied Chunky Dungeons expansion ever come to pass? (It's hard to call something Volume 1 without plans for a Volume 2) I have to say that I am torn on the issue. I like the look of the 1.5" and I like the extra room for minis, but the scale causes some serious issues with integrating other sets and other products. For example, in 1" you have the choice of several different wall styles (Cave Works, Dungeon Works, C&K, I&P, etc), but if you are doing 1.5" your choices are Chunky or lots of Photoshop. It also takes up a lot of room. I admit that even though I have built a fair amount of Chunky, I almost never use it because it takes up so much real estate on the table. |

Wait, so what's going on with Mage Knight? They're not making anything more for it? What are they going to be focusing on then? |

Mage Knight is being discontinued in its current format, but the "Mage Knight" universe will continue. They have announced a computer game, and I would not be surprised to see a new style of miniatures game. They are continuing with their other big licensed prodects (HeroClix etc.), so I don't think that the clix games are going away entirely. I really need to start building some of the other sets I've picked up. I've got DW:GR, IW:C&K, and IW:P&I, but my time for building has decreased as I've increased my time for City of Heroes. The first thing I thought of when I saw Urban Mayhem was "I wonder if there will be a CoH RPG that I can use with that?" And yes, they have announced the pen and paper CoH RPG. ![]() |

I don't know what half of those acronyms stand for... though since they are not all WWG products I doubt you can tell me anyway. Arabin |
