It's really all a matter of glue, paper choices and how impatient you are. Glue water content and glue type are huge deciding factors in the realm of warping. Warping can also occur if pages are taken directly from the printer and cut/glued before the ink has had time to set-up. I think part of the problem with warping also comes from the fact that many people are kitbashing Firstlight and extending rooms further than intended in the original design. These longer walls have a tendency to start bending over any distance. Whats really needed for kitbashers is a series of internal wall struts (like the one I did for "The Maiden"). This would pull the walls in over extended distances (Aleph? ![]() I can only speak for myself when I say that I haven't had any issues with warping when using the following two MUST HAVE items: - UHU Office Pen #99589 (That number is important as this is a specific type of glue UHU offers that has a very low water content = no warping). You can pick these up at Walmart or online: - Georgia Pacific 110lb white cardstock. Obviously the paper weight is important here to avoid warping. I've also recently started using 80lb coverstock from the local printers which for some strange reason is actually thicker than 110lb card. One thing Paul included in the second release "FirstLight: Retrofit" was a series of wall braces to help people in this situation out. They're basically triangular braces that sit on the tops of the walls. Hope that answers your question ![]() |
