Ooof! This is the kind of thing that I worry about. I have only had one serious virus infection - when I went on vacation and left my computer in the care of someone else, since I wasn't going to be around to use it someone else might as well... When I go back the hard drive was filled with porn, pirated software, and virii. I was so mad I could spit. Worse he seemed to think that giving me the pirated software somehow made up for infecting my computer... (My hard drive is completely legal, I do not have so much as a single pirated MP3 - I just feel that piracy is wrong, not just for its effect on the market, but for the slow erosion of the soul, for want of a better term.) Aside from that my paranoid nature has kept my computers virus free. The Auld Grump |
