Well, there have been a good number of kitbashes already, so yes, you will be seeing more ships like the Maiden. As whether WWG will ever bring out another official big ship model like this... I seriously doubt it. Probably not for the forseeable future anyway. Once the WWG store is up, there may be some downloadable kitbashes though. There may even be a conversion kit at some point to alter the Maiden into a different type of ship. Other than that... there's plenty of variations which are easily accessible to anyone with a minimum of photoshop and/or cut-and-paste talent. Want gun ports? That whole bottom deck of the Maiden should really be a gundeck anyway. Just glue some gun ports onto the hull. You can easily fit 10 guns on a side (20 would be more realistic, but 10 will probably work better for roleplaying), plus two stern chasers. Just assume the crew bunks on the orlop deck below the waterline. [gears working] You looking for a yacht? What kind of size are you thinking of? |

While it's unlikely we'll be doing another ship of the Maidens size, I have a strong feeling we will be re-visiting the pirate genre in the future. I have a few personal sets that I'm dying to start work on but time is never on my side. Slow and steady she goes...I suppose ![]() |
