I donated blood today. Still a bit woozy. (I suffer low blood pressure, have a body temp around 95, and a pulse rate around 45 most of the time... About as close to being a lizard as I can be without scales. It takes me a while to recover after donating - much lower blood pressure and they would not allow me to donate at all.*) The Auld Grump *I also have an absurdly low cholesteral count... |

I would love to donate blood, but they won't let me. I moved from England just over 4 years ago and due to mad cow disease, and the fact that I've visited a farm at least once in my life, they will not allow me to give blood. What's more, they won't accept my wife's blood anymore and she both American, and has never been on an English farm! Good job for giving blood though. I used to do it fairly often back in England

Thanks for chiming in, Phatz. Keep up the good community service work. On a related note: I tried to give blood today, and was told by the Red Cross that I can't donate blood if I've had a tattoo within the past year. Since my wife's a tattooist, I probably won't be donating blood for many, many years.
