“Hurry up and wait!”…I’m sure that’s how many of you are feeling right about now and rightly so. We reached a critical mass down here in the WorldWorks dungeon a few months ago and the projects kept pilling up. Believe it or not we are getting close to opening the flood gates and setting free these beasts we’ve been working on.

Both Mayhem Armoury and Mars Station are due out shortly with only some minor loose ends to fix up. Both Matt Lyon and Paul Senior have done really amazing work on these new sets and I am very proud of both of them. We can’t wait to get these model sets into your hands.

Peter Gifford is still slaving away at his first release for Himmelveil. He’s at the 70% mark and things are looking really good. Peter has offered countless pleas for forgiveness on the time this is taking to develop but we all know how busy he is with his design firm. Real life work has to take priority here. I have no doubts this release will be well worth the wait and I think you’ll all cut Peter some slack once you see the mystifying job he has done.

Bob Cooper (Andorax) has his first official WorldWorks module complete save for some nagging internal art concerns. Bob’s module plays on the strengths of CaveWorks and includes some new additions to that set.

Speaking of module development, Kevin Jordan along with a whole host of writers and artists (I honestly haven’t had time to speak with them all or make formal introductions) are busy as bees working away at all things “Arcraetia”. Himmelveil desperately needed a world in which to give it context and before we knew it we had a whole team working on the concept. Good things are coming…

The long overdue WorldWorks store is finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and should be ready to go before you know it (pending a total disaster). Highlights include “Earlybird” releases, combo deals, gift certificates, a well organized kitbash database, designer journals, long overdue promotional materials, the ability to implement “micro-releases” and so much more! This probably wouldn’t have taken so long but being the code challenged guy I am; this whole experience has been a STEEP learning curve from hell. The whole WorldWorks site needed to be redesigned, gutted and re-implemented (no small task). We may have some bugs to work out when the store goes live but I consider these normal growing pains. This is a pretty big deal for WorldWorks and we have high hopes that it will offer both customers and designers alike a better chance to shine. Really soon guys, I mean it this time (keep the swords and projectiles at your side).

So as you can tell there has been some major internal shifting going on as of late and I’m doing my best to keep on top of everything. Once these growing pains are out of the way you will likely see a time of bountiful WorldWorks swag. And for my next personal project I plan on refocusing on Himmelveil to satisfy some long unsettled cravings out there.

Enough of my blathering…back to the pits with me.
