Hi, all! Just wanted to share this with all of you: My wife & I will be moving into a new home very, very soon! The house hit the market on Saturday, we saw it and placed an offer on Sunday, and they accepted the offer today (gotta move fast in California)! Escrow closes in 16 days (!), so the next month is going to be hectic for us, but in a good way! Now: off to start packing!

Hey, congrats and welcome to the world of you and the bank! 
Love my home, even when I have to do all the repairs myself! So far though, haven't had any really bad repairs! Course the really big jobs, like painting are still being done by someone other than me. Don't have the time and energy for those, but I'd never go back to renting! So how do you get anything done with the WorldWorks room being in the home entertainment room? Me, I don't watch much TV, but since my WorldWorks room is in my computer room, the damn computer pulls me away to much!

That is awesome, Aleph. Congrats especially to finding a house in northern California. The housing market there is just plain crazy. We bought our first house a few years ago, and - while sometimes it sucks (can't just call the landlord when something is broken) - overall it is tremendously worthwhile. |

Congratulations, Aleph! That's an amazingly quick sale. My wife and I have been trying to sell our house for a year with no real offers. One person tried to trade us a yacht, but I suspect he wasn't all there... |

It's all official: we got the keys today! The movers come on Sunday, and I won't have DSL at the new place until Dec 5th (at the very earliest), so I'll likely be checking the boards sporadically during those two weeks. |
