Hi Denny, I already did plug MS a while back over at MGP ( post) - I just need to build some more to really push it. I should have a few more buildings within a couple of weeks to do a good setup with though. |

Denny after finding this post I came across you post at about the Mars Station. Needless to say I'm greatly enjoying putting together the bit and bobs of the set, enjoying the method of construction that it employs. You ask in a roundabout way if the set Mars Station had missed its mark, my answer to that is no ... but the mark could be clearer. By clearer I will draw your attention back to your earier sets where in the instructions you placed the ideal number of builds for that piece. "DUPLICATIONS (Suggested): 2 to 4 copies (optimal)" The above came from Gothic Realms. I think this is a great tool to add to a set as it give the user a guide to work from. This point is one I brought up with the release of CWU. In all your set (newer at least) you have a "Bringing it all together" in which you show how the sets items are used in relation with each other - which is great but it really doesn't bring it all together. A simple list of builds from a given set should be included with a Optimal Build Number. This would and should give a flailling user a lifeline with the new set. The other ideal item would be to include (even at a latter date as a download) a simple mud-map layout of the set as WorldWorks has built it for the sets promotion. By adding a mapped outline of the set - or even a number of ways it could be layed out would greatly strenght the sets use. Nothing is worse then getting a product - be it a set from here or a new RPG or anything and having the fire in your belly roaring to get started only to have it die because user got bogged down in the details without a plan. Again I say all this as a friend to the company and as one whome has followed and felt the struggles of each release for a while now. And I know that this point does not increase sale on its own nor does it help promote the product out-right, but using a configuration map of the set (a idea layout) as a free download could work a treat. Good to hear that the Maiden is not very hard, I have not purchased that set based on hearing that it was a pain to build. @ Denny: I was watching "The Fith Element" and I realized that the building internals look a lot like Mars Station buildings. So I am thinking that the Mars Station buildings would work well with Mayhem and maybe marketing them together or focusing on the interchangability of the sets would help sales. I'll attempt to finish up both my Mars Station and Mayhem sets and put the pieces together and post pics. Anybody got a time stop machine where I can stop the flow of time outside the machine so I can work on gaming stuff and not 1) lose my job, 2) have my Significant Other divorce me for not spending time with her? ![]() CCotD' |

I posted a link to the Mars Station page on this site. I've been play'n it at End Game, we have a play group of 8-10 players. Most tried Rez but prefer Infinity minis. It's a very fun game with some of the best minis on the market. Anyway, hope it helps get this great set moving off the shelfs. |
