Looking over the up-and-coming game by Privateer Press named , it got me thinking that WWG might want to look at doing one shot ads of WWG products being used in-game. My thinking behind this is simple WWG is an fantastic product, as we all know, and it has so many applications that it only seems natural to bring it to the attention of the Warmachine / Hordes crews. How to do this: Build one shot gaming tables with a good mixutre of WWG terrain upon it - muilt set jobs. With these tables done then take shots of it during mock battle, showing in cut away shots the action spots - ie. Standing stones from Skull Cove make great points to be slamed into or thrown. The cliff walls are another great spot for jmping off, and the portal stones from Sacrificial Portal would make great capture the hill point. CastleWorks Ultimate has the buildings that make it a joy to smash and grab with a 'Jack or a Warbeast not to mention the battlements. This job could be a pure Cardstock creation or a hybrid of Card and other materials (like , thanks GRUUMSH for a great build once again!). It's a great suggestion Lord Abbadon and honestly something I've been meaning to get around to for awhile now. Your message inspired me to send a late night e-mail to Privateer Press. It was essentially an open offer to develop a terrain set specifically for any of their product lines. I can't see any negatives here. I have made these kind of mails before to various companies and you can never really predict how they'll respond. I suppose it depends on how open they are in general. I haven't done this for awhile however and now that WorldWorks has established itself I think people in "the industry" will be more receptive to these kinds of offers. Privateer Press makes some terrific products, I hope they are receptive to my offer. |

Another area to target is the supers gaming market - talk to Green Ronin about marketing modified Mayhem sets reflecting their , this campaign setting includes a detailed history of the city, an overview of the its diverse neighborhoods, scores of locations and backdrops. (A quick quote of the book). This campaign setting is for By changing the signage upon the textures it would create a greater bond for players wanting to see the punches fly. Also (S²) is in the works of a second edition - SuperSystem is designed to simulate comic book clashes between heroes and villains. SuperFigs miniatures are produced by Four-Color Figures through West Wind Productions. This would be another crowd to target. Again just trying to help break the mold. Lord Abaddon of Wormwood |

No Quarter magazine is a fantastic example book. Something for everyone, though they did have several important typos this last issue. Covers Warmachine, RPG, and related bits and pieces to the Iron Kingdom world. |

even if PP don't agree, world works could make sets themed around the factions(but keep them generic fantasy types) like for the circle, a set with a couple of standing stones, some trees, and a few ground tiles. plus alot of other uses for that kind of stuff |

Hordes-specific terrain sounds like a killer idea! Hordes is picking up a lot of interest at Safe Haven, so I'd be able to pop the terrain into our battles easily! |

Denny, good luck with PP. I really hope you have more success than with the Rez crowd. I think you have gone along way to help support that game and I believe that the Rez players have not really taken advantage of the WWG products. |

I get a lot of those misconceptions when I talk about the hobby as well. I was at my FLGS on Wednesday night talking to a few guys about WWG terrain (they have both the Maiden & CWU CDs, plus one copy of Chunky Dungeons), and neither believed that cardstock terrain was as good as other types. I keep meaning to make a display for the store - that might have been my motivation right there. As for ease of learning ... yeesh. I am maybe the least craftiest guy you'll ever meet; I'm a digital dude, been on computers for years, but crafts? No way. I tried painting, I suck. I tried making home terrain, I suck. Heck, I never did figure out CC2 and I'm a hack with Dundjinni - but give me cardstock terrain and I can make _anything_. If its easy enough for me to manage successfully, anyone can make cardstock terrain. |
