I will have to make this short as I am about to leave for work, but I am still kicking and alive. Most of my incoming funds have been going into making sure that me and my cats are fed and keeping a roof over my head. I have been to the site twice in the last month but due to depression have not had much to say. Mostly I popped in to check out Arcraetia, Something Below and Bits of Mayhem when I got emails about their release, but left shortly after due to lack of funds to purchase any, which will be the case for several more months, if not longer. I am hovering on the verge of my sanity in the new year and am going to try and clean up this mess that I am in. I have not been building and miss it alot. I am in hard debt and slowly working towards the chance to pull out of it but it's a hard process. I will chat at you all later and hope your builds come out straight ![]() |

Glad to see that you're still out there and still functioning! Being in debt is a rough place to be, been there many a time myself, some my fault, others not of my doing. But I realized something when I did my last home refinance and got really ahead, believe it or not, with liquid funds to allow either my wife or I to be out of work for around 4 months, I was still worrying about having enough money. So I'm trying not to sweat the bills as much and only worry about paying them when it's time. Doesn't always work, but helps keep the level of stress down and was an interesting learning experience. So try not to sweat the stuff that you can't change, ie, having bills, cuz you'll have them until you die, and just keep plugging away. Hope things continue to get better and try to take some down time once in a while, even if it's just reading the forums! Good to see that you're back and modeling again. I've found that keeping up with your hobbies is a great way to take your mind off of problems. It's a trick I use quite often when things get bad. Looking forward to your next set of pictures. Skunk Check out my fantasy campaign, Wizard Quest, a world using Wizards of the Coast’s 3.5 DnD system by visiting . Good hobbies and crafts are a great way to make it through tough times if you are wise enough to put some projects aside before money becomes a problem, as it sounds like you did. I have been fortunate to have kept employed for most of my 10 years of civilianhood, with a short 3-month break that I thought would kill me. But our worst thing was the empty-nest issues when our son left for the Navy about 7 years ago. The wife and I both blew great sums on our new (at the time) collections of GI Joe and Barbie and didnt stop until we had maxed out every credit card we had. Several years of trying to keep up with minimum payments, then 4 years of "credit counseling" and finally bankruptcy was what it took to get things back to some level of financial stability again. If it wasnt for all the metal I had sat aside to paint some day, and more recently, finding WWG products, I dont know what we would have done. At least I am up and running again towards achievable retirment goals, while trying to help the wife back from her PTSD issues after she was a bank teller through too many robberies. Our hobby time has been a great help in all this. Glad you were able to print things out that you can work on now. Know that there is a silver lining to the cloud, as bad a cliche as that may be, and that you can find the way through it all. |
